Tourist visa (Visa T)

Most visitors from Europe, the US, the UK, Australia and many other countries need a tourist visa. ASEAN nationals from visa-exempt countries can enter without one for a limited stay.

Avoid lookalike websites that charge two or three times the official fee. The only official e-Visa portal is evisa.gov.kh.

e-Arrival card

Air arrivals should complete the free Cambodia e-Arrival form at arrival.gov.kh within 7 days before landing. It speeds up immigration at Techo (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor (SAI) and Sihanoukville (KOS).

Documents checklist

Visa on Arrival — where it is available

Requirements

  • Passport valid 6+ months beyond entry, blank page
  • 1 recent passport-size colour photo
  • USD 30 (Tourist) or USD 35 (Business) in undamaged notes
  • Return/onward ticket may be asked for
  • Completed arrival form (paper at many land borders)

Where VOA is typically available

  • Airports: Techo (Phnom Penh), Siem Reap Angkor, Sihanoukville
  • Main land borders (when open): Bavet, Trapeang Kriel; historically Poipet & Cham Yeam
  • Seaport: Sihanoukville cruise terminal (e-Visa is not accepted for cruise arrivals)
  • Smaller secondary posts may issue VOA but procedures can vary — confirm in advance

Processing usually takes 15–45 minutes. Officers can take a photo for a small extra fee if you forget one. Always request a receipt for the official fee.

Important (as of late 2025 / 2026): Most Thailand–Cambodia land borders are currently closed or restricted due to ongoing border issues. e-Visa entry is accepted only at a limited number of land ports (see tables below). Official source: evisa.gov.kh – Ports of Entry.

Which borders accept Cambodia e-Visa for entry?

According to the official Cambodian e-Visa portal:

You may still exit Cambodia at most official checkpoints regardless of how you entered. VOA availability also varies by crossing and nationality — check before travel.

Cambodia – Thailand border

When these borders are open for passengers, Visa on Arrival is normally available. e-Visa entry is currently restricted or closed at the main Thai crossings.

As of 2025–2026 many Thailand–Cambodia land crossings remain closed or heavily restricted. Flying into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville is currently the most reliable option from Thailand. We offer private airport transfers from all three airports.
